USAID project; “Development of Craft Certification System”. 1998 – DEC. 1999In his

 
most recent role as a manager of the crafts certification system project Dr. Ali was responsible for designing project's work plan, , and monitoring and assessing progress of the project throughout its four main stages, namely, needs assessment, industrial community's awareness creating, development of manuals, and identification of an International Certification Body (City & Guild). Over 35 manuals (reports) were produced and submitted on schedule for five job families, each contains three levels of skill. Deliverables of this project include:

  • Job manuals that include:

    • Task analysis

    • ask Qualification Card

    • Job-specific training matrix

    • Certification tests

    • On-the-job training system

  • Participant's training manuals

  • Trainer's manuals

Dr. Ali managed a team of 11 experts in five major industrial sectors (engineering, metal, leather, wood, and casting) to submit the project deliverables. He was responsible for ensuring quality of all reports, debriefing the Egyptian Federation of Industries (EFI) Delegation and Beneficiaries.
